Research Interests
My main scientific interests lie in the field of numerical modeling of bio-methanation processes, with a specific focus on gas-liquid stirred tank reactors. I focus on using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations to investigate and optimize critical phenomena such as hydrodynamics, gas-liquid mass transfer and biological kinetics.
- I am currently working on the development of a numerical framework using OpenFOAM, based on the Euler-Euler model and the multiple reference frame (MRF) approach to address industrial-scale applications.
- I’m also interested in the development of predictive tools for bioreactor performance and establishing reliable scale-up guidelines from laboratory to industrial production scales.
